Meet Sara Lewis

Sara Lewis, DNP, APRN, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner offering telehealth appointments to patients throughout the state of Florida at Lewis Family Psychiatric in Wellington, Florida. She works with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults to address various social, emotional, and behavioral issues. 

Sara Lewis received her undergraduate degrees from Hahnemann University and Albright College in Reading, Pennsylvania. She obtained her master’s degree as a pediatric nurse practitioner, her post-master’s certificate as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, and her doctorate in nursing at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. 

Focusing her professional practice on psychiatry, Sara Lewis has received training in psychiatry and pediatric practice, psychopharmacology, general medical issues, and psychotherapy. She has expertise and experience in treating most brain-based illnesses, including mood disorders, anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression and attention disorders. Sara Lewis employs evidenced-based treatment strategies in each client’s care. 

Sara's priority is a relationship first. She believes that a healthy, caring relationship with a medical professional that knows you as a person is the most critical aspect of care and makes the relationship a priority in your treatment. 

Sara prides herself on having a “first-name practice” in which she knows all her patients, schedules appointments herself, and will recognize you when you call.
